Camberley Tasting in the pool

Sometimes the tastings at Camberley get a little out of hand. Geoff is a travel writer for The Times in London and is following the English cricket team on their tour of South Africa.

Camberley "Prohibition"

As of yesterday our "Prohibition" is sold out. This wine was our first screwcap enclosured wine and was 100% Cabernet Sauvignon oaked for 28 months. Prohibition was a combination of 10 barrels out of 14 , the remaining 4 being selected for our Reserve Cabernet.

A wine called "The Cherry" which is 100% Shiraz will take its place at the R65 price point. Obvious cherry flavours on the palate - hence the name of the wine.

Camberley "Prohibition"has had spectacular success in the overseas markets, so this type of wine will definitely be a fixture here into the future. Keep checking the Wines section on our website for the latest additions to our range.
